myTips! is an online web app that allows easy submission of tips and calculation of results for the tipping comp.
myTips! replaces the use of spreadsheets to manually record tips, calculate points and distribute placings. The site is developed in node.js/javascript/mysql/css/html/logic apps and hosted in Azure.
myTips! can be accessed either via mobile devices or desktop browsers. The myTips! mobile version enables easy submission of tips and viewing
of all competitors tips, competition ladder and race results.
The myTips! desktop version provides the same functionality as the mobile version, with added features to administer the competition.
Authorised users can create and maintain users, competitions, events, races and import data for race entries and results.
Note: The Desktop and Mobile versions are accessed via the same URL and the web app renders the content based on your device size. There is no need to download an
app from the appstore or playstore, simply access myTips! via the URL.
Terms & Conditions
The tipping competition is independently organised and administered by the competition organisers, who establish the rules, select the weekly races, manage participants and tips, determine results and arrange payment of prizes. The competition is intended to comply with applicable Victorian legislation and Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) guidance.
The entry fee, prize structure, competition dates, tipping deadlines, participant numbers and method for determining winners are clearly communicated to participants before they enter the competition.
myTips! is a privately developed software application that enables participants to submit tips and calculates and records competition points. myTips! does not accept bets or wagers on individual horse races and does not provide or facilitate betting or wagering services. It is not responsible for conducting or determining the competition rules and does not receive or distribute entry fees or prize money.
A maximum of $200 per competition is allocated to the actual Microsoft Azure cloud hosting and related infrastructure costs required to operate myTips!. This is a genuine technology expense, with no profit, commission or other remuneration received by the software provider. The cost is separately identified and disclosed to participants before the competition commences.
